Psychotherapy that reconnects mind and body
I am a psychotherapist with training in somatic therapy and mindfulness, supporting people who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves to regain a deeper sense of calm, clarity and emotional balance.
Together we explore not only thoughts and feelings, but also how experience is held in the body and nervous system.
A Whole-Person Approach to Psychotherapy
Many forms of therapy focus primarily on thoughts and emotions.
However, our experiences are also held within the body.
Stress, anxiety and unresolved emotional experiences can live in the nervous system, often showing up as:
• chronic tension in the body
• persistent anxiety or stress
• overthinking and difficulty switching off
• emotional overwhelm
• difficulty feeling safe or relaxed
My approach integrates psychotherapy, somatic awareness and mindfulness, allowing us to work with the full human experience — mind, body and nervous system.
This often enables change to occur not only intellectually, but at a deeper embodied level.
About Me
Hello, I’m James.
My interest in psychotherapy grew from my own exploration of stress, emotional resilience and the relationship between mind and body.
Earlier in my career I worked in high-performance corporate environments, where I experienced first-hand how chronic pressure can become deeply embedded in the nervous system.
Through mindfulness, somatic work and psychotherapy I discovered the importance of reconnecting with the body and developing a more compassionate relationship with our internal experience.
This led me to train in:
- Body-Oriented Coaching (Somatic School)
- Mindfulness Meditation Teaching (Breathworks)
- Transpersonal Psychotherapy (Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education, London
My therapeutic work integrates these approaches within a psychotherapeutic framework, offering clients a space to explore both the psychological and embodied aspects of their experience.

Initial Consultation
Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step.
I offer a free 20-minute consultation, providing an opportunity to:
• briefly discuss what brings you to therapy
• ask any questions about the approach
• explore whether working together feels like a good fit
There is no pressure to continue — it is simply an opportunity to connect.
